Basic Computer Skills at ASoP

Do I have basic computer skills?

For many of our Lightroom, Photoshop and editing-based classes, we highly recommend that you have basic computer literacy before joining the classroom. 

How do I know if I have basic computer literacy?

We don’t expect our students to be members of the Geek Squad, but as long as you feel comfortable with the following:

• Navigating the Finder/File Explorer

• Difference between right and left click

• Copy and pasting

• Basic keyboard layout

We recommend taking this test (click here). If you get at least 8/12 correct, you are computer literate and are welcome to join the class. If you received lower than 8/12, no worries! We would highly recommend sitting down with one of our instructors at a private lesson to cover any information about your computer before beginning the class or workshop as to not fall behind.
