Dahlonega Butterfly Farm
Masks may be required indoors, recommended outdoors if close to others.
The Dahlonega Butterfly Farm features a 760 sq. ft. butterfly conservatory, a "containment room" (where the butterflies are born), and an outdoor caterpillar habitat. You’ll get to see, learn about and photograph the complete life-cycle of butterflies and their importance as pollinators in our environment. They may even let you "catch" a butterfly in the tropical conservatory so you can observe them up-close. The outside gardens also offer additional opportunities for great photos. This will be a fun and educational experience for all!
What we will learn:
Equipment needs for butterfly and insect photography
Camera Settings for best results
Best use of Depth-of-Field
Handling backgrounds & photographing in a controlled (Zoo-like) settings
And, of course Larry will be able to help you with all your photography questions! And pack a lunch and we can continue the conversation in the outdoor garden.
